The Sabri Ülker Food Research Foundation was established as an independent, scientific, non-profit organization to improve public health by contributing to the development of social awareness of food, nutrition, and healthy living. The Sabri Ülker Food Research Foundation’s objectives are to stay informed about scientific studies, legislation, and practices on a global scale and supporting every effort in collaboration with universities, government agencies, and nongovernmental organizations to provide the public with accurate and reliable information on food and healthy eating habits and training opportunities. In this context, The Sabri Ülker Food Research Foundation has set presenting the public with reliable and useful information about food and nutrition, encouraging healthy living through healthy foods and a balanced diet, and supporting research, educational programs, and other initiatives in food and nutrition as targets on its road map.
The Sabri Ülker Science Award Competition has been organized in keeping with the mission of "supporting research, educational programs, and other initiatives in food and nutrition."
The competition seeks to encourage scientists in academic, industry, and other research institutes by promoting cutting-edge scientific research on food, nutrition, and health; to benefit society by contributing to the publishing of research results; to contribute to the development of social awareness of food, nutrition, and health as well as of healthy living habits; and to support the implementation of executable projects that encourage a balanced diet and health lifestyle.
